Years End: 2015

I am not setting any resolutions.

I just want to reflect how 2015 shaped me into the person I am today. I had a lot of first this year. I got married, lost a loved one in death, got a new job and moved in with my husband in his home{our} and went to Outer Banks, NC.

If there is anything I can take from this year: don’t take the people in your life for granted and that there is hope.

Wonderful things happened: I got a new job closer to home, inherited a beautiful kitty, was married to great guy and got to see wild horses running on a beach on our honeymoon to Outer Banks, NC and then came home to start my life being a married woman.

Despite all the good things, there was a dark point. Zach’s mom died a week before our wedding. It was sudden and a shock. The stress is something I can never put into words properly. It shook the family and almost had me cancelling the wedding.

Only prayer and support from family and friends could have helped us cope with a tragic and sudden loss.

I am trying not to bring a damper on this post, but this is what I’ve experienced and I had to learn to cope and be strong. Something I never thought I was capable of doing. I learned that anything can happen. No matter how good you got it. Family is key. And constant prayer and supplication is key as well. For my sanity, anyway, this, plus Zach, was all I had when things were falling apart and I couldn’t see a silver lining.

Each year brings you different struggles and different joys. I am happy, but its sad too. Bittersweet.

I don’t know what 2016 has in store, its just another year after all, but then again a lot can happen in year right?

Goodnight, 2015
