Furry Friend Tag

1. What is your pets name?

2. What kind of pet is it and what breed?

She is a cat. We’re not totally sure if she has Bengal in her but, her markings are very different from any tabby cat I’ve ever seen. But, I do believe she is a tabby and could possibly have some Bengal in her too.

3. How long have you had your pet friend?

This month marks six months.

4. How did you get your pet?

Zach and I, were walking down a street on our way to dinner and we saw this kitten ahead of us run into a bush. When we passed the bush she started crying. Which we thought was a bit odd when a kitten runs away from you they hide. So, we started calling it out and she came up to us and she was so skinny! You could see her ribs. She looked like she hasn’t eaten in weeks. So, randomly, Zach had cat food at his place so we brought her there and she devoured the food we gave her. Zach said he’ll keep her for the night. I downloaded a Neighborhood app where it shows missing animal postings, asked locals if they knew of anyone missing a kitten along with looking for posters for a lost pet. None came up. So, we decided to keep her.

5. How old is your pet?

Well, she was a bigger kitten but, she was still small. The picture above was when we first taken her in. So, I am going to guess no more than 9 months maybe going on a year. She’s grown a lot since we got her.

6. What are some quirky things about your pets personality?

She has quite a few. When people come over she likes to jump on the banister and play with her tail. Its so weird and I think she is trying to show off when there are other people visiting. I bought her these little mice and she loves them! She’ll carry them in her mouth and bring them to us so we can throw it for her to chase after. Then she’ll bring it back so you could throw it again. When we first got her, Zach, gave her a shoestring and she carry’s it around like it is her blanket. Its so funny, she will never part with that stupid string. Lastly, she has to be the last to attack while playing. If you play with her and your like “okay, that is enough” she’ll come back and pounce you so she is the last one not you. Its so funny.

7. What does your relationship with your friend mean to you?

A lot, she is part of the family now. We can’t even think of her not being around.

8. What are some of your favorite past times with your pet?

When we have time to play with her and the snuggles during down time has always been nice.

9. What are nicknames you call your pet?

*Updated* Tinkle Princess.

I desperately needed to take another photo of myself because they are either all with Zach or none at all. And I am not big on taking selfies quite honestly, but, there are some days you just want to make yourself feel better when you don’t.

I also, hate taking pictures of myself and always felt a bit narcissistic when I would take them plus, life gets busy and you have more important things to do along with I don’t always feel like showing my face to the world. Despite many people asking me to share more.

Ever since Monday after coming back from a very busy weekend driving back and forth from Harrisburg to Reading from Friday-Sunday for our Regional Convention and with all the other highly active weekends beforehand when I woke up, I felt like shutting down. And mostly was due to Aunt Flo visiting which really did not help anything. I woke up feeling very groggy, uncomfortable, gross and most of all exhausted. Oh, and we cannot forget all the emotions that I was feeling! They’re always a blast. Due to said emotions, I couldn’t get over that Zach, and I got married in regards to a lot of his friends sort of “late”. Which I know we didn’t! We got married at the time that was right for us when we met the right person. That is what I should have been thinking. But, now, I have been getting invited to a lot of baby showers. And have been asked a lot about when we are starting a family. Every couple that we know have either been married for 10 years already and or have children and they’re 27 years old on their second child.  I am 27. I would love to have kids! But, we are not ready to have kids. I told Zach how I felt, in tears, how I felt maybe by the time were ready it will be too late. Which he lovingly said “it won’t be.”

I know that sounds silly but, bringing a child into this world is a big deal to me because well, its a human you are solely responsible for and have to raise to be a functioning human being. And that kind of freaks me out. But, I am ready for that challenge whenever it presents itself. Just not now, haha!

There has been a lot of struggles and joys this year so far and I won’t say its taking a toll but, its teaching me to be a stronger person not only for myself but, also for Zach since were in this together.

Hope you liked my rant!

If you are newly married, what are your thoughts?

Adult’s Do It Better

The title might fool you but, from experience and being an eyewitness I noticed more adults throwing tantrums than I have seen children. Adults! Grown adults, like they have children in front of them and are freaking out over something not even that serious. And quite honestly, its pretty awkward and they look kind of stupid. I am a firm believer in treating people who are serving you particular with a service that you should treat them kindly and respectfully. I cringe when someone is rude to say a server at a restaurant in my group and I get so embarrassed. Like its a true pet peeve of mine and I think its actually ridiculous to treat people that way. Now, I am not speaking of when that person serving you is being rude or disrespectful themselves. You are the customer and if I am spending my money for your service I expect to receive kind, honest and respectful service. But, what made me even write this is this woman at the Apple Store. I don’t know why she irritated me so much but, I just couldn’t believe the way she was acting.

If you have never been to an Apple Store and the majority of people have, I am sure you know how crazy busy that place can get. I honestly, cannot, tell you the times I’ve visited an Apple Store and it was NOT busy. Its always busy. Always!

My cat knocked over my cup of water over my Iphone 6 a couple of weeks ago and no matter what I did it would not come on. I made an appointment with my local Apple Store in Lancaster, PA which is 40 minutes away. My appointment was at 7:20PM I was greeted immediately and the Apple guy sat me down. Waiting game starts. This lady had an appointment as well and he sat her next to me. She kept fidgeting and she said to the guy “how long is this going to take?!” in a stern voice. He didn’t even flinch{I am guessing he is use to this behavior} he looked up her name and said “well, your appointment is set for 7:30PM and its only 7:32PM so they should be with you shortly,” smiles goes back to his job. Her face! She had such an attitude and I am like “here we go”. I felt her negative vibes. No more than say 6 minutes and she was like about to freak out, she is huffing and puffing. Looks over at me and said “how long have you been waiting here?!” I knew she was going to ask me that I just knew it and I said “oh, well, I have been here since 7:20 sooo….” and I turned back around towards my husband. And her hand hits the table and she looks at her son and exclaimes: “shes been here since 7:20!” I got so annoyed. I look at Zach, and said “this woman is annoying me”. Five more minutes past and she starts rubbing her temples and said “okay, now I am starting to get mad,” the moment she said that the guy says “okay, you both should be next I just talked to the tech’s” {at least I believe that is what he called them}. Boom! One minute later someone came to help us and while he was helping us another tech went to help her so, she really in a whole waited no more than 12 minutes where as I waited around 20-25 minutes so she didn’t wait that long compare to me who was waiting before her. This is not my first or my last encounter I am sure.

So, moral to the story is patience is a virtue and seeing adults have temper tantrums is very annoying and I feel awkward when they do it around me.

Good morning, my name is Nina Blackwell. I have been blogging off and on for the past several years, teenage years. Mind you they were more like diary entries than blogging. A lot of angst and a lot of whining. I am a bit embarrassed to admit that but, it is the truth.

I recently got married two months ago to a great guy and 11 months ago I moved to Harrisburg where my husband lived. I initially was living in the suburbs while we were engaged but, since we got married I moved in with him in the city and now I am trying to get use to the city life. Which has been great! All my best friends, still either live in South Jersey[where I am from] or live in other states. I have been playing with the idea of starting a lifestyle blog instead of “omg, guess what happened to be yesterday…” type of blog. I think I had so many of them that I am kind of over complaining. Now, that doesn’t mean I wont vent from time to time on here but, it won’t be more than a few sentences. I promise.

The whole reason behind why I want to do this is for an outlet. I want to talk about skincare, makeup, hair, books, music, lifestyle and eating healthy along with sharing my husband and I’s adventures even talking about marriage, etc. Basically, everything, the list goes on.

I never actually done so on my other blogs so, this will be refreshing for me. I am not doing this for exposure. I am doing this for me. I hope ones could benefit from what I share or take something from it.

I cannot say I will be posting every week. I will only be able to post no more than three times a month. I believe in balance in your life and I don’t want to take more time from enjoying married life and family.

I hope this didn’t sound like a bunch of rambling. I am working on a post now, so I hope to get that out before this month is out.

Till then!
